Hello, my name is

Bonnie!

I am a curly hair lover!
I describe myself as a Beautiful Rose and lover of Big smiles,SOCA music and of course Big Hair!
Since it took me some time to love the beauty ,oppressions, complexities and intricacies that came along with my Black/White binary, I refer to myself as the "Rose that Grew from Concrete."
I spent over 10 years applying the "creamy crack" to my hair and foundation to my face to cover my freckles,
My intention was to try my best to fit in and to avoid "looking different."
Once I decided to accept my fair skin, curly hair and freckles, I became more relaxed and open to expressing my true self.

I currently watch the sun rise at 40.6928° N, 73.9903° W, otherwise known as the concrete jungle, home of the greatest rappers,Junior cheesecake and the city of big dreams.
Losing both my parents before turning 19 has shaped my outlook on life, my humility, and every decision I have made in the past 5 years.

Many have asked "How do you do it"
By How they mean, juggle school, being a young professional,my relationship,working out, taking care of my siblings, nephew, curly hair and still enjoy my early 20's. 
I truly do not have a simple answer, however here I am to bring you through my journey and inspire many along the way to love their "flaws" and embrace the obstacles the universe has gifted them with.
